We conserve Vanilla species before they disappear.

Conserving the genus · Connecting the science

Our Mission

Most of the world's 150+ Vanilla species have never been studied. Many are already gone. We maintain the only dedicated living collection of the genus, preserving genetic material, generating cultivation data, and connecting researchers with plants that exist nowhere else.

Why It Matters

Learn about the conservation gap, why the genus Vanilla is at risk, and what a living genetic bank can do about it.

Multiple test tubes filled with green plants, placed on a metal rack inside a laboratory.

Collaborate

Contact us and join the first global directory of Vanilla researchers, find collaborators, or explore material exchange with the living collection.

Most of these species have no conservation program anywhere.

This is it.
